R/V Arcadia's Maiden Voyage
May 2010 - Chandelier Sound
R/V Arcadia left for a research expedition on May 8th, 2010 from our Homeport, New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor. The crew consisted of Captain Chuck Cropp, Nicholas Robins, Ben Goliwas, and Ben Goliwas Jr.
We were under contract with The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation to monitor dissolved oxygen temperature and salinity on a 50 mile transect in the Chandelier Sound.
R/V Arcadia was in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida waters to help track the continuing issues with the oil slick in the Gulf or Mexico.
R/V Arcadia returned with crew on May 16th to our homeport in New Orleans.
