Programs:

Initially, this organization will conduct three programs, discussed below. The organization has unlimited access to a Vagabond 42 S/V Arcadia, ocean going sailboat, to conduct these programs, enabling activities to be conducted in deep and also shallow coastal water.

The Citizen Sailor Program

The objective of this program will be to engage, educate and equip coastal and blue water mariners to conduct basic scientific air and water sampling. Samples may be of water quality and/or temperature, while air samples will concern airborne pollution. With basic training and simple techniques, mariners can systematically collect such data, which will be shared with environmental research organizations to better understand, and respond to, the causes of air and waterborne contamination.

The Self-Sufficient Program

The larger, sailing vessel will be equipped to be totally self sufficient in terms of electrical power and water generation,. The organization will conduct dockside tours and other outreach activities to primary and secondary school students, as well as the general public, to promote knowledge concerning environmentally friendly power and water generation technology which may be used both on land and on the water. The presentations will also include a discussion concerning the causes, effects and possible solutions to the challenges of global water pollution.

The Wave of Hope Program

The organization will work with donors to obtain and transport humanitarian and relief supplies, on the Vagabond 42 and in conjunction with other vessels. These operational zone for these efforts will be in the Gulf and Circum-Caribbean region.

Scientific Collaboration with Partnering Institutions

The organization will collaborate with other organizations conducting marine research on specific programs.
